We are very pleased to welcome Børge Husby to Apurgo, where he takes on the role of Product and Energy Manager.

Børge brings with him solid and interdisciplinary technical expertise, with experience from HVAC, automation and other technical installations. He has a professional certificate as an ICT operations operator, and also holds a bachelor’s degree as a mechanical engineer specializing in HVAC technical solutions and automation. A combination that provides a very good understanding of the interaction between technical systems in buildings.

Throughout his career, Børge has gained broad experience from several aspects of the industry. He has worked with the design and procurement of HVAC systems, has worked for a turnkey contractor and has held several roles in client consultancy. Most recently, he came from a position as an ITB advisor, where he has been an important technical resource for developers and owners through all phases of construction projects.

This means that he is familiar with the entire process – from the early phase and sketch project, through design and implementation, to buildings that have been in operation for many years. And perhaps even more importantly: He understands how the choices made at the start affect the performance and functionality of a building long after it has been taken into use.

“I’ve worked in the range between early phases and existing buildings in operation, and seen how technical solutions actually work over time. This provides a good basis for making better choices in the future,” says Børge.

With experience of safeguarding the interests of the client – or owner – in complex projects, he also has a clear understanding of what it takes to create good, robust and future-oriented solutions.

At the same time, Børge has a strong commitment to development and innovation. The desire to get closer to product development and contribute more directly to new solutions was an important motivation for taking the next step in his career.

I like to learn and challenge myself. When the opportunity came to work more with development and innovation, and at the same time to try my hand at the supplier side – which I haven’t been on before – it felt like the right step to take.

At Apurgo, Børge will play a key role in the further development of our energy solutions, helping to combine technical insight with practical experience from real buildings and projects. This link is important when we develop solutions that will work – not just in theory, but in practice, over time.

We feel that the combination of professional expertise, curiosity and ability to see the big picture makes Børge a very good match for us.
