Apurgo and the Transparency Act
The Transparency Act in Norway, also known as The Openness Act, focuses on businesses upholding decent working conditions and basic human rights both within their operations and among their suppliers.
Although Apurgo is not legally required to comply with the Openness Act, we have proactively embraced its principles. We are committed to social responsibility regarding human rights, employment practices, and organizational ethics, and we are dedicated to sharing our knowledge with the public.
The Act provides valuable guidelines for our approach. We have conducted due diligence assessments to address and manage any potential negative impacts of our operations. This also allows us to offer our customers the information they need to meet their own obligations under the Openness Act.

The Transparency Act imposes new duties on companies.
Here’s what you need to know:
1. Due diligence assessments
Companies must conduct due diligence assessments of their own business, suppliers, and business relationships to ensure respect for human rights and decent working conditions.
2. Publication of a report
Companies are required to provide an annual report detailing their due diligence assessments. This report must be published by June 30th each year.
3. Right of access
Companies must grant access to their due diligence assessments to anyone who requests it.
